This is a declaration of intent.
I promised that I wouldn't post on this blog until Jeff did. And I'd rather have Keyan die than break a promise that I made to myself. However, I want to make sure that we all can discuss the multivaried and important consequences of a proposal I'm about to broach: A party.
October 13th, to be exact. Amanda will be home, and I will have finished the LSAT's. We might have a few friends from Astoria in town that weekend, and since Mikey's such a history buff, I think I have the perfect theme.
Dauphin Gin.
My Amazon.com basket is full of inflatable dolphins, and I've already laid out a surprisingly cheap variety of crepes to make at the manned crepe station. Champagne and pink dolphins (gin, grenadine, seltzer and grapfruit juice) will keep the theme rolling. I'll purchase, begrudgingly, the French map for Powergrid. We can construct a French Revolution themed Dominion set (which should be made significantly easier thanks to Dark Ages) and of course, Guillotine.
There'll be bacci in the backyard, beer pong in the basement, dancing in the living room and crepes in the kitchen. Inflatable dolphins, and orcas, and sharks. It'll be a VERY good time.
The question I pose to each of you: is it the right time?
We have some flexability in weekends, so either the 13 or 20th would work.
In addition, I want to make sure that you all have time to invite as many of your friends as possible. Let's make a superpod, and invite all of our friends from all different circles. Francophiles and francophobes alike, this party will have it all.
Finally, if there are enough guests, we might consider a keg instead of canned beer. I'm sure we can borrow George's.
